Now that the Deafening Silence of a Very Bright Light is officially done, there’s a whole other stage of things to do.
Update feinsodville.com. I’ve been pretty neglectful of my website, and in fact haven’t updated it since late July. Time to remedy this.
Make a DVD Studio Pro file. This shouldn’t be super hard or time-consuming, although I am going to see if I can find somebody to make something really nice. Otherwise, I can make a basic one by myself. Really, the biggest part of the project is outputting the MPEG-2 file and corresponding audio.
Make a trailer, and post it online. Pick music to use. I’d like to create something with no dialogue, and a killer song beneath it. Any suggestions? Maybe a piece of jazz would work best. Using a pre-existing track could make the whole thing feel too much like a music video.
Burn DVDs for the cast and crew. This will take forever. Still, it’s the right thing to do. And some other people have been asking me for copies.
Prepare material for Andy’s reel. See entry Burn DVDs for the cast and crew. He lives in Denver, he’s been asking me for this and I should do it eventually.
Totally Done
Yesterday, I picked up the hard drive that holds the Deafening Silence of a Very Bright Light and the two digi-betas that I had made. That’s it. The movie is finished. Kind of anti-climactic, if you ask me.
